FOCEP CBE Classes and Training

Childbirth Education Classes

Childbirth Education Classes with Connie can be In-Person or virtual. These classes are private or semi-private and are available in the Anchorage area.

Philosophy

Childbirth is viewed as a natural health process and is a peak life experience with long term effects on the development of both mother and baby.

Education of the client is an essential, integral part of prenatal care. With knowledge freely imparted to the woman, she is able to assume responsibility for health maintenance and effective utilization of medical care.

Education through discussion, videos and handouts assist you in becoming more confident and knowledgeable about yourself and the birth process in order to help you become an informed consumer. Learning labor coping skills, breathing and relaxation practice can reduce anxiety about your birth.
